The Wanshan WS2250 heavy high-mobility truck is a Chinese copy of American Oshkosh HEMTT, which is in service with the US Army. It is unknown if Chinese army is interested in this truck, but it is being actively proposed for export customers. It is worth mentioning that Chinese managed to copy pretty much all successful military trucks of the world.

The main mission for this heavy truck is unit resupply. The WS2250 has a payload capacity of 10 t over rough terrain and up to 16 t on hard surface roads. It can also tow trailers and artillery pieces. A baseline version of the WS2250 heavy truck is a troop/cargo carrier. Vehicle can be also used as a chassis for various shelters and specialized equipment.

The forward control cab accommodates driver and two passengers. It seems that version of this truck with a double-cab is available. Also this truck is being proposed with an armored cab.

The Wanshan WS2250 is powered by a turbocharged diesel engine, developing 440 hp. Engine is located behind the cab. This feature allowed to reduce overall height of the vehicle. Engine is mated to an automatic transmission. This military truck has good cross-country mobility and is rapidly deployable. Vehicle is fitted with a central tyre inflation system. Both front axles can be steered. The WS2250 is designed to operate in any climatic conditions, ranging from -41C to +50C. Vehicle can also operate up to 5000 m above sea level.
