The P6-300M was developed by Narvik Technology (NATECH) of Norway and Hydrolink of Finland in cooperation with Norwegian armed forces. First prototype was tested by Norwegian Army in 1997. Production of the P6-300M is now complete and it is no longer marketed.

This all-terrain vehicle has a payload capacity of up to 7 t. It is a lot for this class of vehicles. For example a Swedish Hagglunds Bv 206 can carry only 2.25 t. Finnish Sisu NA-110 can carry less than 2 t. Only Russian Vityaz series articulated tracked carriers can carry more, but these vehicles are much larger.

The NATECH P6-300M consists of two articulated units. Engine is located in the front unit. A four-door cab of the front unit accommodates driver and 4 or 5 passengers. A rear unit has a quick-change attachment system. So the carried load can be rapidly reconfigured.

Both units are connected by an articulated joint. It gives great flexibility in all axles and extremely good maneuverability. Power is driving all four of the tracks. The NATECH P6-300M can go over all kinds of difficult terrain. It can negotiate such obstacles as soft snow, sand and marshlands. It can climb considerable gradients, and work in arctic cold.

Various rear units are available, such as cabin for personnel transport, palletized load carrying system, various shelters and other. All of these rear units can be swapped using attachment system.

First six articulated all-terrain tracked carriers, delivered to Norwegian Army are used as electronic warfare vehicles. The rear articulated unit is fitted with shelter, equipped with German SGS 2000 Hummel tactical communications jammer. The Swedish Bv 206 was not capable to carry this heavy equipment.

Other versions of the NATECH P6-300M, such as troop carrier and palletizes load handling system have also been used. When configured as a troop carrier the P6-300M accommodates up to 16 troops in the rear unit. So in both units the vehicle can carry the driver and up to 21 soldier.

This all-terrain vehicle is powered by a Cummins 6CTA8.3 turbocharged diesel engine, developing 260 hp. Vehicle is fitted with a fully hydrostatic transmission. It has stepless speed control, digital steering and digital load control. The rear unit load area is leveled automatically due to hydro-pneumatic suspension.
