The Panthera K-10 mine resistant ambush protected vehicle was jointly developed by AutoKrAZ of Ukraine and Ares Security Vehicles of United Arab Emirates. Acronym KrAZ ASV consists of the names of cooperating companies. Ares Security Vehicle use Panthera name for a number of their vehicles. Even though these vehicles are different. So the K-10 is the actual name of this model, jointly developed with AutoKraz. It was first publicly revealed in 2013. This vehicle already received production orders. It is claimed that 10 vehicles were ordered by an undisclosed customer for participation in UN peacekeeping missions.

The KrAZ ASV Panthera K-10 is based on a KrAZ-5233 4x4 military truck. Chassis is provided by the AutoKrAZ, while armored body is made by Ares Security Vehicles.

The main role of this MRAP vehicle is to carry soldiers in combat areas where mine threat is high. It has a crew of two and can carry 10 fully equipped troops. Other proposed versions of this vehicle accommodate up to 14 dismounts plus the crew of two. Firing ports are optional. Normally troops enter and leave the vehicle via rear power-operated ramp. Also there is a door for the troops on the left for emergency exit. Commander and driver use their own doors.

Vehicle has a V-shaped hull. It withstands blasts equivalent to 8 kg of TNT anywhere under the hull. Hull provides protection against 7.62x39 mm armor-piercing rounds.

Vehicle can be fitted with remotely controlled weapon module. Typically these modules are armed with 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine guns or 40-mm automatic grenade launchers.

The Panthera K-10 is powered by a Russian YaMZ-238D diesel engine, developing 330 hp. The same engine is used on Ukrainian KrAZ-6322 heavy utility truck and its derivatives. It seems that other engines, such as Deutz or Cummins can be fitted alternatively. Vehicle has a full-time all-wheel drive. It is equipped with a central tyre inflation system and fitted with run-flat tyres.

The Panthera K-10 is proposed in various versions, such as protected troop carrier, reconnaissance vehicle or command post vehicle.

Later a KrAZ MPV TC (Shrek One) appeared. It is also a mine resistant ambush protected vehicle, jointly developed by AutoKrAZ and Streit Group of Canada. It shares a lot of similarities with the Panthera. It is also based on the same KrAZ-5233 4x4 military truck.
