The KM900 armored personnel carrier is a license-produced version of the Fiat 6614. This armored vehicle is used by the South Korean Army.

The KM900 series vehicles are intended for military and paramilitary operations, where some form of mobile armored protection is required. The South Korean Army uses these armored vehicles for defense of rear areas, protection of convoys and so on. Due to their limited armor protection and cross-country mobility the KM900 series armored vehicles were not designed to operate in the forward areas.

The KM900 is armed with a single 12.7 mm or 7.62 mm machine gun, mounted on top of the roof over commanders cupola.

Welded steel armor of this APC provides protection against small arms fire and artillery shell splinters.

Passengers enter and leave the vehicle via a rear powered ramp, side door, or two roof hatches. There are firing ports with vision blocks provided for the troops.

The KM900 is powered by Fiat 8062.24 diesel engine, developing 160 hp. This armored vehicle has a full-time all-wheel drive. Vehicle is fully amphibious. On water propulsion is provided by the road wheels.

During its service history vehicle was improved and Koreans introduced their own variant, known as the KM901. Its versions include an armored ambulance, mortar carriers and command vehicles.

It is likely that by 2020 both KM900 and KM901 armored vehicles will be replaced by the new K806 armored personnel carriers, that are much more capable.
